Clubs | 2025 Survey Feedback
We invited clubs to tell us about their experiences and relationship with Scottish Gymnastics in a recent survey. Thank you to those who took the time to give your feedback and complete the survey in December. We wanted to share the main themes of the findings and how we use this information.
You told us that the gymnastics values of inclusion, supportive, and aspirational are not just words in our strategy. Almost 90% of respondents said these are part of your club’s daily work a great deal or quite a bit.
However, sharing the same values does not necessarily mean you feel a connection. Experiences differ widely across the country, especially between rural and urban clubs. Some clubs feel visible, but many want to feel seen.
The elements which matter most to you are reflected in Scottish Gymnastics’ strategic focus areas in Leap without Limits. These cover people, experience, wellbeing, pathway, and leadership.
Main Themes
You also said that relationships matter and we need to listen better and have more conversations. We also need to let you know what actions we are taking based on the views you share and your priorities.
Our top projects should focus on
- recruiting and training new coaches,
- upskilling coaches and more CPD,
- increasing accessibility for disadvantaged communities, and
- providing more opportunities for as many children to take part in gymnastics.
Actions
Your survey feedback will help shape our plans as we prepare for the next investment cycle with sportscotland and membership year.
Meanwhile, we will continue to let you know about the programmes and support you can access, through newsletters and in meetings, calls and emails.
For now, if you missed out sharing your feedback and would like to help shape our plans, you can simply tell us your top priorities through this link. There is just one question box to leave your thoughts and you can do this anonymously if you wish.
Thank you!
