Commonwealth Individual Bronze for Daniel Purvis
DANIEL PURVIS WINS BRONZE IN COMMONWEALTH INDIVIDUAL APPARATUS RINGS FINAL
Daniel Purvis has added to his historic team silver medal, winning bronze in the Commonwealth Individual Appatatus Rings Final.
Daniel spoke of his delight at securing an individual medal as the home crowd roared him on,
"It is fantastic. Yesterday I was a little bit disappointed but i picked myself up today. To get an individual medal was fantastic and topping off the team medal. It has been a great start to the Games. The crowd has helped so much, the crowd just got behind us and I wanted to perform for them as much as I did myself they have been so good for everyone."
After winning bronze Daniel spoke of his pride at competing for Scotland,
"I feel really proud to be Scottish and compete for Scotland. My family are here aswell, I saw them in the crowd yesterday, that was great."
