Further Medal Joy for Scots at 2015 British Championships
MEDAL JOY FOR SCOTTISH GYMNASTS AT 2015 BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIPS
There was further medal joy for Scottish gymnasts on the final day of the 2015 British Championships at the Echo Arena, Liverpool.
In the women's artistic junior competition Louise McColgan (Largs GC) rounded off her Championships in style, winning silver on floor and bronze on beam. Louise, who was competing in her first year as a junior gymnast, also narrowly missed out on an all-around medal finishing in 4th place.
In the Disability Masters competition City of Glasgow's gymnasts performed incredibly claiming no less than 13 medals between them. Men's artistic gymnast David Rae shone claiming three gold medals; floor, vault, and high bar. He added a further two silvers to his medal haul on pommel horse and rings. Not to be out done his team mates also achieved podium success. Lee Davidson won bronze on floor and parallel bars, while Ramsay Meiklem took bronze on rings. Sophia Crawford claimed gold in each of the two women's artistic finals she competed in, floor and beam, while Georgia Carslaw won silver on both beam and uneven bars, and bronze on floor.
