What are some of your favourite Gymfest memories?
Our club was established in 1991 and as soon as we could attend with a small team we started taking part. The first Gymfest events we attended were in Inverness which was fairly “local” to us. One of our Inverness trips saw us field our biggest team of 67 gymnasts! We wanted as many gymnasts as possible to experience the wonderful, fun filled, non-competitive atmosphere that Gymfest brings.
Our team love the whole event which always includes a weekend away with their friends. We love attending and every event is unique and special to us.
What is your favourite Gymfest routine you have ever seen?
I particularly enjoy routines that have a theme, be it a movie, book or theatre show. A team entertaining their audience with a story is always engaging. For my own club, in 2018 we performed our very own version of The Greatest Showman and it’s still one of our favourites.
