Rhythmic | Home Nations Tournament Selection Announcement
Twelve individual rhythmic gymnasts and two groups have been selected to represent Scotland at the newly created Home Nations Tournament in Cardiff on 27 to 28 May which will see gymnasts from England, Wales and Scotland compete for their nation.
The new competition, organised by Welsh Gymnastics provides an opportunity for gymnasts and coaches to develop the skills they need to progress on the competitive pathway in line with their inclusion on Scottish Gymnastics performance pathway programmes.
Individual gymnasts will compete across three age groups, in addition to junior level groups. The competition will see espoir level compete with hoop and ball, as well as an all-around competition for junior and senior gymnasts.
A selection panel met to discuss the gymnasts who have showed the appropriate level of performance and selections were made based on the criteria for scoring at the zonal grades competition and open apparatus team competition earlier this year.
Congratulations to the gymnasts, coaches and support staff selected for the competition.
