We wanted to share an update on our staff teams following some recent changes and how to contact us by email and phone.
Sports Departments
Performance and pathway
Rona Patterson has left the team and joined Fife Council. Wendy Purdie, herself an international bowler, has moved to Bowls Scotland and will expand her performance role with them. Emily Downes has joined SEC to work with the events team organising the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. A regular volunteer at many sporting events, this builds on her experience. Becki Campbell has returned to West Lothian Gymnastics Club to support the running of the club. She continues in her role as Scottish Gymnastics national pathway coach.
The recent changes have been an opportunity to restructure to the performance team. Silvia Gherman becomes our programme officer dealing with the complex Olympic disciplines activity. She leads the sponsor relationships and fulfilment of our kit suppliers Kukri and Quatro and manages our travel company relationship.
Kenny More joins the performance team on a fixed term contract to the end of 2026 as lead manager. Kenny has 25+ years working in high-performance across several high-profile sports as a performance analyst and was previously in PE teaching. He brings a depth of knowledge and experience from his last role at sportscotland institute of sport (SIS). There he worked with athletes, coaches and other practitioners and no doubt can support us maximising impact leading up to Glasgow 2026.
Kenny will deliver high-impact performance activity focussed on the Olympic disciplines of men’s artistic, women’s artistic and trampoline. He will work closely with the technical directors and coaching staff, supporting institute-supported gymnasts on a more individual level and maximise the SIS support. He has responsibility for the strategic leadership of the performance team and collaborating with Jay Runga on high-performance coach development. We will recruitment for the role after Glasgow 2026.
The pathway manager for Scottish Gymnastics-funded disciplines is Suzy Frame. Suzy has a wealth of gymnastics experience as a club head coach, along with judging and tutoring. Suzy is currently providing maternity cover for Lindsay McKie as education programme manager. Therefore, for the next eight to 10 months, Suzy is part-time in both roles.
Paul Greaves joins the performance team as technical director for rebound disciplines (trampoline/tumbling/DMT) similar to Scott Hann MBE’s role in artistic.
We are interviewing for a full-time programme administrator to support the Scottish Gymnastics-funded disciplines on 24 July. Jules Neish is providing part-time admin support as a contractor in the meantime.
Learning and development
Jay Runga continues as the lead manager for the team with Kristen Wheeler providing admin support. Whilst Lindsay Mckie is on maternity leave, Suzy Frame is managing the education programme along with the performance activity.
Development and experience
Ross Hutton left to join Glasgow Life for a bigger role that suits his coaching experience. Claire Baillie has been promoted to club development manager to replace Ross. She joins Tracey Brown, Laura Hamilton and Beth Paterson, led by Sarah Logan.
Events
Steven Maloney manages the events team and is supported by Iliana Ithakisiou and Helen Rowe. The team works with contractor events managers Nicky Youl and Donna Kilbane. The team is currently recruiting additional people as announcers, events officers and equipment leads to support events. More details will follow as people are appointed in the contracted roles.
Sam Hendrikson as head of sport, oversees the pathway and performance, learning and development, development and experience, and events teams.
Wellbeing and Safe Sport
Lindsey Booth manages the wellbeing and safe sport team. Gregor Newton oversees case investigations. Mhairi Lawson as safeguarding officer supports club safe sport visits and clubs with safeguarding enquiries. Becca Stewart provides admin support to the team, in particular the PVG process and managing the safeguarding training calendar. Nicola McKinley, our other safeguarding officer is on maternity leave. Lindsey’s team is currently supported by part-time contractors, Val Wright, Amber Dillon and Mary Small until Nicola returns. They are supporting case investigations, club visits, training course and policy development. Lauren Milne is providing temporary part-time PVG admin support.

Isaac is responsible for scoring at all men’s and women’s artistic events, transitioning this from Robert at GymData following months of training.
