The 2024 Scottish National Trampoline, Double Mini-Trampoline and Tumbling Championships witnessed thrilling routines at the Regional Performance Centre, Dundee over the weekend.
Flyers gymnast Oscar Birrell was crowned the 2024 Scottish champion in the senior men’s double mini-trampoline (DMT) competition on Saturday of the event. Alongside the prestigious title he was also awarded the FIG form award as the gymnast with the highest one routine execution score. Holly Allfrey from City of Edinburgh, became the 2024 female senior DMT champion as she scored the highest cumulative 2-pass score in finals.
In the trampoline individual’s competition, Sarah Gallacher (Sparta) successfully reclaimed her title for the fourth year. It didn’t stop there for this club as Sparta’s Mellissa Mendicino and Aiden Ward were announced as the Scottish junior champions in the female and male categories respectively.
Keir Davidson (Tiggers) claimed two champion titles as he stepped onto the podium on Sunday, the first being the senior men’s individual trampoline champion then joined by Murray Findlay (Sparta) as they were declared champions in the synchronised trampoline competition.
Over on the tumbling track Gary Monteith (Sapphire) topped the podium for FIG 17-21years men’s with strong runs including new upgrades, with Hannah Moss (Dundee) taking the women’s top spot for this age category. Kayden Carson (East Kilbride) took the title in the 15-16 mens category following his success at the French Cup earlier this month where he claimed silver.
