Four Scottish acrobatic partnerships excelled, with two making finals, at the 2025 European Junior & Senior Championships and European Age Group Competition in Luxembourg this month.
Senior women’s trio Karla Hillcoat, Gemma Russell and Emma Logan (pictured above) had a phenomenal championship, qualifying to two out of three finals on offer. One final being the all-around where they finished just outside of the medals in fifth. Their dynamic routine grew in strength from qualifying to finals as they improved their score of 26.870 to 26.920 finishing seventh with this routine. The Dynamic gymnasts unfortunately missed out on a balance finals place due to the one per country rule but notably finished tenth in the qualifying round.
Also unfortunately missing out on a finals place due to the one per country rule were Ella Gracie, Emma Nelson and Scarlett Haldene (below) from Acrobay. Out of 27 junior women’s trio partnerships, they placed seventh and ninth with their balance and dynamic qualifier routines respectively in their first ever European Championships.

Over in the age group youth competition, Beth Gilroy, Lily Schoneville and Amelia Davidson (below left) from Dynamic performed clean routines finishing seventh in balance and eighth in dynamic. Taking to the floor for a third time for finals with their combined routine they finished an incredible sixth place.
Acrobay’s youth trio made up of Katie Hendry, Hannah Johnston and Roxie Kemp (below right) unfortunately had an uncharacteristic fall in their first routine of the series. This didn’t knock the partnerships confidence for their second qualifier opportunity as they put out a clean dynamic routine to place third, scoring 27.760.

Congratulations to the gymnasts, their personal coaches and clubs on their performances. We hope you enjoyed representing Great Britain on the international stage.
