Men’s Artistic Performance Pathway Programmes
In line with the Scottish Gymnastics strategic plan (2015-2027), we have the long term aim to expand the talent pool and develop Scottish gymnasts to British and World high performance level.
The Men's Artistic Performance Pathway Programme links firmly into our strategy with the objective of expanding and sustaining the talent pool in Men’s Artistic and developing coaches and gymnasts to British and World high performance levels. The Performance Programme consists of:
• National Performance Programme (NPP)
• Performance Pathway Programme (PPP)
• Development Programme (DEV)
• Pathway Training
National Performance Programme (NPP)
The aim of this programme is to support coaches and gymnasts in developing the skills that will allow them to succeed on the British pathway. Scott Hann MBE will continue to drive this programme for Scottish Gymnastics and provide excellent technical support for both gymnasts and their personal coaches, with integrated support from physical preparation and physiotherapy. The MAG NPP will have two tiers to the programme with core camps and focus camps. Both tiers of the programme are based on a culture of hard work, continuous improvement, taking ownership and embracing challenge and setbacks, and gymnasts must continue to demonstrate this to remain part of the programme.

The U16 PPP and U12 PPP programmes will be delivered alongside each other, with some elements delivered jointly and others separately. These programmes are focussed on coach and gymnast development. Camps will continue to be led by men’s artistic pathway technical lead Matt Jackson.
