Tumbling Performance Pathway Programmes

Tumbling Performance Programme

The tumbling performance programme works towards providing clear opportunities across all levels to drive the development of both athletes and coaches into the British Gymnastics pathway.

The tumbling performance programme consists of:

• National Performance Programme (NPP)
• Performance Pathway Programme (PPP)

The Performance Pathway Programme (PPP) provides targeted support to gymnasts training and competing at regional levels 1 to 3 and are aged 12 years and under aiming to progress onto the FIG pathway. The National Performance Programme (NPP) provides targeted support to gymnasts training and competing at regional level 4 and FIG pathway, at any age, who have shown or are developing the potential to achieve podium position at the Inter Regional Challenge Cup Finals (regional levels) National Age Group Finals and British Championships (FIG).

These activities have been designed in line with the strategic plan between the TUM Technical Committee, Scottish Gymnastics Performance, and input from the Tumbling National Technical Lead, Dan Lannigan. Scottish Gymnastics have appointed Charlotte Hamilton from Dynamite as the Tumbling Development Pathway Coach for the 2022-23 programme year. She will co-deliver the NPP and PPP alongside Dan.

Applications for the tumbling performance programmes are now closed for 2022-23. You can find more information and selection criteria in the document below and view the list of gymnasts selected for the programmes in 2023.
