Chair of the Acrobatic Technical Panel and traveling team manager, Andy Youl, was delighted how the gymnasts performed, both on and off the competition floor. He said: “Fiona Fyfe [also traveling team manager] and I were extremely proud of all the partnerships today. Everyone gave their all and put everything into their performances, no one left anything behind.”
He added: “There was some really high-level opposition to perform against and Scotland was very well represented.
Medal placing a wasn’t the only thing that we are proud of. The performances themselves were of the highest standards. The gymnasts behaviour over the weekend has been exemplary and they and their clubs should be proud of this.”
It wasn’t only gymnasts who have done themselves proud, Andy said: “Thanks to the officials that helped look after all the gymnasts this weekend. The coaches Suzanne Fraser and Suzanne Frame were kept busy along with Ian getting the gymnasts prepped before competition. Under the guidance of Ian Said we look forward to more improvements as we go forward in the competition year.
We can’t forget the judges either, many thanks to Tracey Finlay and Laura Jennings for playing their part.”
Congratulations to all the gymnasts, coaches and officials who where in Budapest this weekend.
