Scots gymnasts soar at the 2023 Trampoline, Tumbling & DMT British Championships
Scottish gymnasts competed at the 2023 Jaffa Trampoline, Tumbling and DMT British Championships at the Utilita Arena, Birmingham on 16 and 17 September 2023.
Sarah Gallacher from Sparta Trampoline Club brought home bronze in the senior women’s synchro trampoline final alongside her partner Gabby Moorhouse from Kirklees Trampoline Gymnastics Academy.
In the senior men’s trampoline competition Murray Findlay from Sparta Trampoline Club made finals in this category finishing in fourth place. Also narrowly missing out on a medal in a fourth-place finish was Paige Russell from Jump GC, one of the youngest competing in the DMT junior women’s category.
Riley Summer from Scotia Trampoline Academy and Holly Allfrey from City of Edinburgh Trampoline Club placed eighth in the their junior DMT finals. Also placing eighth in their finals was Kayden Carson from East Kilbride Gymnastics Club in the men’s junior tumbling and Ava Fettes from Banchory in senior women DMT.
Melanie Stewart-Wills, national technical lead of our DMT performance programme, received recognition for her coaching achievements in Trampoline and DMT by being presented the Master Coach Award.
