Who can attend this course:

Learners will hold a Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Gymnastics (TeamGym), or equivalent.

What to expect:

An informative course focused on the technical aspects of the syllabus and how to support gymnast progress to prepare them for more advanced gymnastics skills.

Gymnast demonstrator requirements: 

You are required to bring a minimum of two gymnast demonstrators to this course who are working towards the skills included on the syllabus. At least one gymnasts must be able to perform the whole skill with support for your assessment.

Assessment information:

Level 3 Technical Module assessments typically take 1 hour. You will deliver a practical session, that includes a warm-up and specified skills from the technical module sign-off sheet. This is followed by a Professional Discussion with your Assessor where you will receive feedback, and your assessment outcome is provided. You will also be required to bring training plans and evaluation documents. Since attending the technical module, you should be able to evidence you have spent time developing the relevant skills of the gymnasts you bring to your assessment.  

Mentor requirements:

No formal Mentor is required for this course; however we recommend you have a network of people who you can learn from as good practice in your Continued Professional Development. Learners cannot coach the skills within their course until they have successfully completed their assessment without a suitably qualified coach present, see code of practice (p14).
